Design-build services were provided to Enprotech for the renovation and expansion of their corporate offices in Cleveland, Ohio. Included are executive & administrative offices, conference room, and a large, open work area.

Main scope of work included:

  • Complete demolition of existing interior
  • Complete interiors: Metal stud installation, drywall installation, drywall taping and finishing, acoustical ceiling installation, paint & stain, custom millwork, door & hardware installation, carpet, VCT & ceramic tile installation
  • Custom mural of the Cleveland skyline
  • Antique water pump restored and showcased in the new conference room
  • Plumbing, HVAC & electrical systems
  • Fire protection

Kids College Daycare Center

Design-Build services were provided to 4314 Main Ave LLC to convert the former 12,000 sq. ft. Social Security building in Downtown Ashtabula, Ohio into a state-of-the-art daycare center.

This new daycare center includes multiple classrooms, play areas, administrative offices, and a gymnasium.

Cristal Global

Project Description

Construction Manager: AMCS
Location:   Ashtabula, Ohio
Delivery Method: General Contractor

JCI served as the general contractor for the construction and build-out of three buildings at Cristal Global in Ashtabula, Ohio. According to Engineering News Record, Cristal’s $64 million expansion was one of the largest project starts (66th) in the Midwest United States.
JCI was awarded the general contracting portion of the project after a rigorous bidding process.  Budgeting, scheduling and experience were the determining factors for choosing JCI.
The largest portion of our contract included the erection and build-out of a three story steel office building. The building includes a break room, offices and testing areas.

Historic Mentor Village Hall

Project Description

Client:   NMS Inc.
Location:   Mentor, Ohio
Project Delivery Method: Construction Manager
Architect:   Sandvick Architects
Completed: December 2016

Marking the original center of Mentor, the old village hall was built in 1888 in the Queen Anne style. The City of Mentor discontinued the use of the property in 1976. In December of 2013, an affiliate of NMS Certified Public Accounts (NMS) acquired the building and converted it into its Mentor accounting, tax and wealth management offices. The project was completed in December of 2016.

JCI provided construction management & general contracting services for the project. Sandvick Architects of Cleveland served as historical consultants and architects for the project. JCI worked in coordination with the owner & Sandvick to comply with all historical guidelines and ensure material adherence with Ohio Historic Preservation Office and the National Park Service.

Our scope of work included the complete restoration of the brick exterior, new windows, complete restoration of the buildings interior, and all new HVAC, plumbing, electrical and fire alarm systems.

To offset the $1.9 million in development costs, NMS received $508,420 in Historical Preservation Tax Credits and Grants.

Midway Chevrolet

 

Design-build services were provided to Midway Chevrolet for the construction of its new Chevrolet dealership in Orwell, Ohio. Midways existing dealership was demolished leading the way for the construction of a brand-new facility. To ensure that business operations were not disturbed during construction, the project was completed in two phases.

Spins Quick N Fresh

Project Description

Client:   Spins Management Group
Location:   Cleveland, Ohio
Delivery Method: General Contractor
Square Footage: 4,000
Architect:   Richard A. Beck & Assoc., Ltd.

General Contracting services were provided to The Spins Management Group for the construction of a brand-new, state-of-the-art laundromat in Cleveland, Ohio. Our services included preconstruction sessions,  along with the usual & customary project management services during the construction phase.

Construction of the new 4,000 sq. ft. laundromat began in December of 2012 with the demolition of two existing buildings. Extensive site work was performed to prepare the site for construction. The project included extensive plumbing, electrical, & HVAC work to accommodate the massive washers & dryers.

Self performing areas included: Concrete, Masonry, Rough & Finish Carpentry, Drywall, Acoustical Ceilings, Tile Flooring & Siding.

This project was delivered on schedule and within the designated budget.

This project serves as a prototype for the Spins Quick N Fresh franchise. Several stores are planned for the region.
